This has been a problem for years and here is the full story. Years ago they created my.secondlife.com as a web alternative to our viewer profiles to implement a few new features that could not be done in our viewers. Some people loved it, some never even knew it existed and for some it was more trouble than it was worth because the only way you could actually upload images to it was to use the default Linden Lab viewer which most users and resident's don't use and that's a different story for a different day. Hundreds of residents are fighting this problem still to this day. 3 or 4 years ago at a Linden townhall meeting one of the Lindens said the feature was going to be removed soon. Recently I submitted a ticket and the Linden that answered my ticket said \"we no longer have access to any of that anymore. The best thing for you to do would be to submit a bug report.\"
When I got to the bug report page there were several others there that already had bug reports done on this same subject so I added mine. If you would please, log in to your dashboard and upvote mine and any of the others you see concerning this, hopefully if we get enough people making a stink over this something may actually get done. The picture of me that is stuck there is 11 years old and the woman that took that photo has been dead for 9 years. This is crazy and as residents we should always have full control over our main profile image, this is our in world identity.
So my whole point is if the lab wants to keep this feature then fix it and make it work right, if it's going to be taken down anyway then GET IT DONE. It's been years we have fought this problem.

Victor Willis had a distinct voice and even though their heyday was somewhat short lived in pop culture this song and the dance is one of those that will never be forgotten and has also won numerous awards and has also been added to the library of congress. To this very day people still do this dance in every life and is one of pop history's unforgettable timepieces. Rest In peace Victor....

The new Olivia Rodrigo album \"You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love\" dropped on June 12th and the first 3 official singles, Drop Dead, The Cure and Stupid Song are out and are doing as well as could be expected in the current climate. That being said getting a fast high chart peak in this day and age is not hard, keeping it on the chart is the challenge and that all depends on how well people like the songs.
Everyone's talking about \"shes showing more maturity in her writing and style\" now but sometimes that's not always enough, we will have to see how this looks 6 weeks from now. Industry insiders are giving this one decent reviews and airplay is strong and its not bad for the 3rd album from a young artist.
Ariana Grande dropped a new single back on May 29th and the album drops June 28th and insiders say this may be a make or break moment for her and are drawing similarities between her and Madonna at this point in her career and there's good reasons for that. Having started as a TV star turned pop princess she's done well so far but has made a few mistakes with her teen fanbase. At the near peak of her career she took a turn as a coach/judge on \"The Voice\" back in 2021 which was enough to raise the eyebrow's of her teen base and then the next big adult move was her role in the musical \"Wicked\" which was enough to turn the heads of a lot of the teens that were still watching.
Madonna did the same thing at about the same point in her career with \"Evita\" which was a turning point for a lot of her fanbase she never fully recovered from so Ariana's new album \"Petal\" drops on the 28th and the new single \"Hate that I made you love me\" peaked at #1 in 2 weeks time but then fell right back off just as fast and currently sitting at #9 right now and that's not a good thing for a song that's only been out 4 weeks. We will have to see what happens when the \"Petal\" falls into stores next week.
Meanwhile Taylor Swift suddenly drops a new single from the \"Toy Story 5\" soundtrack which as the norm for Taylor is doing quite well. Conspicuous by her absence newlywed Dua Lipa beyond the honeymoon is currently one of the actors in the upcoming comedy movie \"Peaked\" From A24 and Topic Studios, but her record and promotion management typically releases her new albums near the end of summer and there's no studio rumors around yet but don't be surprised if we see a single drop sometime in August or September. UPDATE 6-26-26: Ariana's Petal has now been re-scheduled to drop on July 31 and it's not being talked about much but the date has changed on both her website and some of the fan based pages and Wikipedia. Insiders are saying it was a \"strategic\" change between her management team and record company and some are saying the rumor is they expected the new single to perform better than it has so far but it did go from #9 to # 7 on the Hot 100 this week, from #3 to #2 on Global and from #15 to #11 on Pop Airplay but still frozen for 2 weeks at #6 on U.K. O.C.C. top 100. She's also already out on tour. We will see what happens next. Meanwhile Taylor's Toy drops to #2 and Ella's Texas is back at #1....again for the 4th time. More later. MJS
Ok so here we go again I am now on theme number 3 so while I updated a few lines here and there the thought here is still the same. Now originally as soon as I put theme number 1 on the web right away the \"free\" WordPress theme I was using ON OUR OWN SERVER suddenly locked me out and wanted money. Now I have done this for many years so it was not a surprise but I have a real problem with any software or web theme or anything that claims it's \"FREE\" but as soon as you actually start using it they want money or an email address or something, they want to know who you are and get something from it and with WordPress that's a never-ending option-limited ancient technology based money pit and all that time getting that far is up in smoke and wasted. I can't say I was surprised, I have battled with them in the past before but never ever again.
\nI have been hearing about CMS based static websites and after a bit of research found a better way. I have been down the road with several server companies and themes and c-panels and hosts and you name it, and some won't do this some won't do that and if it involves media or streaming they have a list of rules, high charges and prices and hidden fees even if your a musician and you wrote and copyrighted your own work, you still cant post players or files and they say \"we don't do those things, you need to own your own server for that\" and god help anyone that wants to own and run their own Shoutcast server or website.
\nI finally bought Beary and I our own server and decided to dig in and learn the code and do the things I have always wanted to but have put off for years. Here's the honest truth: This server costs me less per month than the 2 rental Shoucast streams I was paying for that Beary and I used for years in-world and now I have us set up with every feature we always wanted but nobody offers at the moment AND we each have our own website too and and file hosting and all of this is fully up to date with the latest state of the art software and security and we have full control over all of it PLUS I now have a few extra 100 listener Shoutcast streaming servers for friends and family if someone needs one in a hurry for an event or something.
\nSo welcome to the new world and website theme 3. Cleaner, faster and state of the art. It's a work in progress but keeps getting better and there's more coming soon. Goodbye SQL servers, goodbye Sam and goodbye to all of the high priced, garbage 30 year old designs and software that currently dominates the DJ/streaming/podcasting market and runs streaming servers and auto dj and control systems like this-acast or that-acast or whatever-panel, goodbye to ancient high priced outdated encoding systems and goodbye to playlist based automation and goodbye to all of those php/sql based websites and themes and software.
\nTruth is the corporate world has been trying to replace live DJ's and entertainers and musicians with automated and expensive experiments for 70 years. The corporate world has been holding \"we the users\" hostage in technology and hidden secrets for decades. To hell with all of them! It's time we got rid of all the poorly maintained and updated garbage that was created in windoze 98 and xp once and for all just like we got rid of tape based broadcast radio and TV automation in the 70s and 80s, the future is here now and we should be in it no matter if your a creator, writer, producer, podcaster, musician, or DJ you should be using it and not dreaming about it and I'm sick of paying 4 digit or more figures for software and code that was outdated before it ever got released to the world. I am sick of operating systems that have become marketing systems that control us that we have no choices with where we cannot even choose our default programs and software, we can change the world. I am already there and I want you to be there too. We need to stop being sheep and letting the corporate world pull the wool over our eyes and lives and the money out of our wallets.
I started this project to bring people who love music and fun and shared ideas together. I came to talk about life, music and tech stuff we all have to deal with, and find new better ways to do the things that the corporate world has held us in place at for 70 years. Creating open-source, solid, stable, state of the art code is free. You just need to learn it. If I can do it at my age, anyone can.
